Johnson’s Collaborative School Committee (CSC) is responsible for providing guidance and recommendations to the Principal about spending priorities, the Unified Improvement Plan, and more.
The main functions of the CSC are to:
-Enhance student achievement and school climate by engaging school community in collaborative efforts supporting the school and district’s goals.
-Provide strategic direction in support of the school’s mission and vision as stated in the Unified
Improvement Plan (UIP). The UIP, with the school’s program design, should serve as the strategic plan for the school
-Be in compliance with necessary laws and regulations (such as state law, district policies and the DCTA
contract.)
Johnson’s CSC consists of the following members:
Principal: Elliott Lepert
Parent Representatives: Luz Ordoñez, Verenice Barrios-Gallindo, Isela Galvan-Chacon, Yolimar Gonzalez-Manrique, and Yandra Venegas
School Staff: Francisco Zabala (teacher), Maribel Mejia (secretary)
Community Organization Member: Esme Lopez (Manager of SW Denver Community Hub)
Meetings are open to the public and all parents are encouraged to attend every third Thursday of the Month at 3:15 in the Johnson Library
